How to Install WordPress in Under 2 Minutes (Softaculous)

Verified Knowledge
Quick Summary: Installing WordPress manually is old news. Use the Softaculous Apps Installer in your control panel to set up your site, database, and admin account in just a few clicks.
Step 1: Log in to your Control Panel
Access your AmanaFlow hosting account and navigate to your control panel (cPanel). Search for the Softaculous Apps Installer icon.
Step 2: Select WordPress
Inside Softaculous, you will see WordPress at the top of the "Top Scripts" list. Click Install.
Step 3: Software Setup
- Choose Protocol: Always select https://.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain you want to install WP on.
- In Directory: Leave this blank if you want the site on your main domain (e.g., amanaflow.com).
Step 4: Site Settings
Provide your Site Name and Site Description. You can change these later in the WordPress settings.
Step 5: Admin Account (Important!)
- Admin Username: Do NOT use "admin". Use a unique name for security.
- Admin Password: Use a strong combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Admin Email: Use an email you check regularly for system notifications.
Step 6: Choose Language & Plugins
Select your preferred language. We recommend checking the Limit Login Attempts plugin for added security.
Step 7: Finalize Installation
Click the Install button. Within 60-90 seconds, you will receive two links:
- Your website URL.
- Your administrative URL (typically
yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
